Objectives:
- To ensure transparency in the administrative, financial, and academic processes of the college by implementing the RTI Act effectively.
- To encourage active participation of students and stakeholders in institutional decision-making by providing access to relevant information.
- To uphold the principles of accountability by making critical information accessible to the public as per RTI guidelines.
- To foster trust and confidence among students, parents, and the broader community through the responsible handling of information requests.
- To maintain an organized and efficient system of record management to facilitate timely responses to RTI queries in the public interest.
PROCEDURE OF SUBMITTING OFFLINE APPLICATION UNDER RTI ACT:
As per the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005 any information regarding college and the purview of ‘permitted information’ may be obtained from the designated PIO by submitting an application in prescribed format along with the fee of Rs.20/ vide Cash/ Indian Postal Order/ Demand Draft in favour of Government Commerce College payable at Government Commerce College Naroda.
v No RTI fee is required to be paid by any citizen who is below poverty line as per RTI Rules, 2012. However, the applicant must attach a copy of the certificate issued by the appropriate government in this regard, along with the application.
v As per the RTI Act, no fee has to be paid for first appeal.
APPLICATION OF THE ACT IN THE COLLEGE:
In observance of the Right to Information Act, 2005 the following officers are designated as the Public Information Officer (PIO), and the First Appellate Authority (FAA) of Government Commerce College, Naroda. These officials would hold the responsibility of complying with any query under RTI Act, 2005 with regard to our college.
